The Bellaire HS Lady Cardinals

The Bellaire High School Lady Cardinals are the 2009 District and Semi-Regional District Champs. The varsity team won every district game from 1994 through 2001, winning 104 games in a row and setting a national record in the process. The team has won ten district championships, and has amassed 292 wins and 117 losses under the current coaching staff. The junior varsity team also won the district in 2003 and 2007. The young women on these teams have demonstrated, through both their academic and athletic achievements, that they are truly dedicated to excellence.

Head Coach Brien Tuffly and Assistant Coach Roxanne Perez are in their 13th consecutive year of coaching the BHS Lady Cardinals. Chris Smith, Assistant Coach, joined the coaching team in 1999.

Girls’ fast pitch softball is a rapidly growing sport in Houston and has produced talented women athletes who have gone on to play in college on athletic scholarships.
